3ØM805 Cultural knowledge and negotiations
Give students an insight into other cultures and societies. Gain an appreciation of cultural aspects that have a bearing on economic adaptability and development, particularly in a business perspective. Students will also get an insight into how to examine problems associated with negotiations.
The course is based on two modules/topics: Module 1: National culture and its influence on organisational and business processes. Topics include the concept of culture, intercultural communication, culture and organisations, culture and management, culture and motivation etc. Module 2: Negotiations. Topics include an introduction to negotiations, planning negotiations, the negotiation process, strategy, communication and international negotiations.
Lectures, group work and simulations.
One 4-hour individual, written exam.
