The students should acquire an understanding of the theory and mathematics of population dynamics.

The course gives an introduction to population dynamics: birth- and death rate, immigration and dispersal, population growth rate, age- and sex distribution. The students are introduced to mathematical methods and population modelling.

Taught in English. Lectures, seminars and possibility for written report.

Mappevurdering (25%) Oral exam (75%). Grading according to ECTS-system on scale A – E for passed, and F for failed.
