The students should acquire an insight into the various systems of operation used in Norwegian forestry, as well as planning the chain of transport from tree stump to yard or industrial site.

Forest terrain classification, area planning, road construction, forestry machinery, logging methods and ground transport, working methods, ergonomics, wood transport/logistics, mechanic forestry.

Taught in English. Lectures, practice in field and written reports.

Oral exam. Grading according to ECTS-system on scale A – E for passed, and F for failed.
