Background
Equipped with a strong patient-focus and an ability to integrate research evidence and clinical practice, nurses may improve health care quality at the grass-roots level. Continual education of practicing nurses coupled with innovative approaches to improve the education of new nurses, together with health management and organization, are important strategies for optimally enabling nurses to function as population health advocates
Purpose and general objective
To disseminate research results of clinical nursing conducted in developing and developed countries
Specific objectives
Provide a forum for
1. Learning by means of discussing shared opportunities and barriers for successful research endeavors
2. Raising awareness of, and interest in, research in a variety of professional contexts
3. Increasing nurses’ familiarity with research and critical thinking

We anticipate that the contrasting perspectives provided by the three research domains, coupled with circumstances that conference speakers and participants represent a variety of cultural and health system backgrounds, will contribute to fruitful and meaningful discussions regarding strategies to achieve the best care for the patients.
