Research interests:

My previous position as an ecological consultant taught me the importance of sound knowledge about human impact on wildlife, and reflects my main interests in research; fragmentation, small populations and population viability. My PhD project is linked to the observational part of the project “extinction mechanisms in small populations”. The topic addresses the viability of small and fragmented vole populations, and how social mechanisms affect population dynamics and the risk of extinction. My past research dealt with the effect of recolonising wolves ( Canis lupus ) on a facultative scavenger, the red fox ( Vulpes vulpes ).
